AIDS Care Kit

AIDS Care Kit - Image More than 26 million people have been infected with the HIV/AIDS virus on the African continent, resulting in more and more people in need of receiving basic home care. HHA has been working in the provision of training to Community Care Supporters whose main purpose is to visit homes and to provide basic care to people who are infected.

The Basic AIDS Care Kit will provide these organised and trained Community Care Supporters with basic medicines including ointments, antiseptics and rubber gloves. All of this is aimed at helping the infected person and to protect the community care teams. It responds to an increasing need for the approach of the disease from a human and Christian perspective. The trained group is responsible to generate local resources to replace and maintain the basic AIDS Care Kit.
