How Does it Work? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once disaster strikes, assessments and surveys are conducted, needs determined, and - in order to avoid duplication - possible relief efforts coordinated with government departments and other participating organisations. Our volunteer relief teams form community committees who determine the neediest beneficiaries. Relief volunteers are being trained to implement the project successfully, and the relief efforts are on their way. In “quiet” times the efforts are focused on preliminary activities, planning and preparing for disaster situations. The Regional Coordinator along with his volunteer team, as well as the field disaster response teams, compile action plans and develop preparation and prevention activities with local communities. |
