Orphans and Vulnerable Children 
The AIDS pandemic is ruthless. It kills fathers and mothers and leaves millions of children as orphans behind.
As the orphans are being adopted by their grandmothers, members of the community and churches, or being raised by their older siblings, they require additional care which many times goes beyond the means and possibilities of the care-givers, making the care-givers' own children vulnerable as well. Helping Hands Africa, in cooperation with and through the efforts of local communities, develops activities that will help the care-givers to provide a secure food source through agricultural programmes, livestock for the children, or an additional income through vocational projects.
